Description
The Motion Mate IC693DSM302 is a high-performance, two-axis motion control module that is highly integrated with the logic solving and communications functions of the Series 90-30 PLC. In digital mode, this module controls GE Fanuc digital servos. Beginning with firmware version 1.40, this module has the ability to control servos with an analog command input, such as the GE Fanuc SL Series Servos, or third party analog servos.
Applications
Machine tool manufacturing plants: Used for feed axis control in CNC drilling and milling machine tools, and for automatic tool changers (ATC).
Packaging and labeling lines: Precisely control the feed length of packaging film or the synchronous position of labeling heads.
Automotive assembly plants: Used for displacement control in gluing robots and precision tightening workstations.
Semiconductor and electronics manufacturing: Serves as a core component in equipment requiring micron-level positioning, such as dispensing machines and flying probe testers.
Printing and textiles: Controls color mark alignment and constant tension winding.
Features
1 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) control of GE Fanuc Servos
2 Block Processing time under 5 milliseconds
3 Velocity Feed forward and Position Error Integrator to enhance tracking accuracy:
High resolution of programming units
Position: –8,388,608...+8,388,607 User Units
Velocity: 1 ... 8,388,607 User Units/sec
Ease of Use
• Simple and powerful instruction set
• One-axis or two-axis motion programs with synchronized block start
• Program support for a short motion program (called Program Zero) which can be created in the MS-DOS
programming software configuration function
• Nonvolatile (flash) storage for 10 programs and 40 subroutines
• User scaling of programming units (in Standard mode only)
• Generic programming using command parameters as operands for Acceleration, Velocity, Move and Dwell
commands
• Configured with MS-DOS configuration software
