Description
The DSQC 352A is a Profibus Module normally mounted in the control module. As an option, it may also be mounted in an external I/O unit. The unit handles input and output signals between the DeviceNet system and the PROFIBUSDP system.
Applications
Automotive assembly plant: Real-time feedback of robot welding path data to Siemens S7 series PLC.
Food processing plant: Synchronizing the gripping cycle of palletizing robots on multi-machine collaborative production lines.
Home appliance manufacturing plant: Providing logical communication between the vision guidance system and robots on the production line.
Rubber and tire factory: Remotely monitoring the operating current and status of robots in high-temperature vulcanization workshops.
Pharmaceutical packaging plant: Achieving batch data integration between robots and the central control system in aseptic production lines.
Competitive Advantage
Profibus DP Slave Communication: Connects to the Profibus DP network as a slave station, exchanging data periodically with the master station (PLC/DCS).
High-Capacity I/O Mapping: Supports bus data mapping of up to 128 digital inputs (DI) + 128 digital outputs (DO), meeting the communication needs of complex robot workstations.
High-Speed Data Transmission: Supports Profibus DP standard baud rates (9.6 kbps~12 Mbps), default 1.5 Mbps.
Plug and Play Configuration: Quickly configure station addresses, I/O mappings, and communication parameters via RobotStudio software or IRC5 teach pendant.
Real-Time Status Monitoring: Onboard LED indicators visually display communication status, faults, and operating modes.
Electrical Isolation Protection: Electrical isolation between the bus side and the robot side enhances anti-interference capabilities and ensures system stability.
FAQ
Q: What is the DSQC 352A?
A: It is a PROFIBUS module.
Q1: Is the DSQC 352A module DeviceNet or PROFIBUS?
A: The DSQC 352A is specifically designed for PROFIBUS DP. Please do not confuse it with 352 (DeviceNet).
Q2: If the DSQC 352A module is faulty, will it work after replacing it with a new one?
A: You need to completely copy the DIP switch positions from the old module to the new module and confirm the cable connections.
Q3: What is the maximum transmission distance of the DSQC 352A?
A: It depends on the baud rate. It typically reaches 200 meters at 1.5 Mbps, and even further at lower speeds.
Q4: Does the DSQC 352A support hot-swapping PROFIBUS connectors?
A: Not recommended. Hot-swapping may cause bus signal glitches, leading to a shutdown and error message for the entire production line.
