Description
The 330104-00-18-10-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is an advanced eddy current transducer engineered for industrial automation, machinery monitoring, and predictive maintenance systems. With a 180 mm overall case length and M10x1 threaded probe, it delivers precise measurements of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values within a 2 mm linear range (80 mils). The probe outputs a voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and conductive surfaces, providing high-resolution data for fluid-film bearing machines, pumps, turbines, and compressors.
This probe features a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with protector and a 1.0-meter standard cable, ensuring stable signal transmission and low noise performance. It operates reliably across extreme temperatures from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F), with supply sensitivity under 2 mV per volt and 50 Ω output resistance, making it ideal for automation systems requiring consistent and repeatable data. The probe’s patented TipLoc molding secures a robust connection between the tip and body, while the CableLoc design provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, ensuring secure cable attachment under high vibration. Fully CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved, API 670 compliant, and interchangeable with all 3300 series probes and Proximitor sensors, this probe reduces maintenance complexity. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents fluid leakage, improving longevity in oil-lubricated machinery environments.
Applications
Application 1: High-Precision Vibration Monitoring
Measures shaft and bearing vibrations in turbines and pumps, detecting misalignment or imbalance early, reducing machinery downtime by up to 15%.
Application 2: Shaft Position and Displacement Measurement
Provides accurate radial and axial displacement readings, enhancing predictive maintenance strategies and extending equipment service life by up to 12%.
Application 3: Keyphasor and Speed Reference Signal
Generates Keyphasor signals for phase and speed monitoring, supporting precise automation control and improving phase detection accuracy to ±1°.
Application 4: Gearbox and Fluid-Film Bearing Monitoring
Monitors gear and bearing vibrations, enabling early detection of wear and preventing catastrophic failures, with response times 10% faster than conventional probes.
Application 5: Hazardous Area Automation
Certified to CSA, ATEX, and IECEx standards, the probe ensures safe and reliable operation in flammable and confined environments without compromising measurement precision.
