Description

IS230SRLYH2A IS200SRLYH2AAA is a Simplex Relay Output terminal board developed by General Electric. The Simplex Relay Output terminal board is a simplex S-type board that accepts a PDOA/YDOA I/O pack and provides 12 form C relay output circuits via 48 customer terminals. SRLY is physically the same size, has the same customer terminal locations, and uses the same I/O pack mounting as other S-type terminal boards. There will be no components higher than an attached PDOA/YDOA I/O pack, allowing for terminal board double stacking. As position feedback to PDOA/YDOA, each SRLY relay employs an isolated contact pair.

Applications

Power plants: Control the intake valves of oil pumps, fans, and gas turbines/steam turbines.

Chemical plants: Drive pipeline valves and activate emergency shutdown interlock devices.

Heavy industrial plants: Control the switching of large control cabinets (MCCs).

Diagnostics

1 The I/O pack interrogates the terminal board connectors' own ID device.

2 The ID device is a read-only chip that contains the serial number, board type, revision number, and plug location of the terminal board.

3 A hardware incompatibility fault is generated when the chip is read by PDOA or YDOA and a mismatch is encountered.

4 Each option board includes an ID device that uniquely identifies the board. By monitoring an isolated set of contacts on each relay, the SRLY provides diagnostic feedback to PDOA or YDOA indicating each relay position.

5 When WROB is used in conjunction with SRLY, isolated voltage feedback is used to detect fuse status for the board's six fuse pairs. Isolated voltage feedback is used to monitor each fuse when WROF is used with SRLY. A diagnostic alarm is generated if voltage is present and the fuse is open. To use the feedback circuit without the fuse, disable this alarm in the ToolboxST PDOA/YDOA configuration.

6 Isolated voltage feedback is used to monitor each fuse when WROG is used in conjunction with SRLY. A diagnostic alarm is generated if voltage is present and the fuse is open.

Configuration

The SRLY terminal board has no jumpers. Option board WROBH1 includes six jumpers for powering on and off a relay. Boards are manufactured with all six jumpers in place. When a relay is used as dry contacts and power distribution is not required, the jumper is removed from the board. The WROFH1 board has no jumpers. The terminal point used as the relay common determines whether or not a series fuse is included or excluded for each relay.

Furthermore, the associated WROF fuse for each relay may be removed to allow direct use of the fuse voltage sensing circuit as a voltage detector. The WROGH board is not equipped with any jumpers. If the relay is to be used to provide dry contacts, the corresponding fuse for each relay may be removed.

Compatibility

IS200SRLY 2 has Euro-style box terminals that can be plugged in and two connectors that can accept a variety of different option boards. There are three option boards that can be plugged into the SRLY 2A.

1 WROB converts SRLY to its functional equivalent, TRLY1B. This option distributes fused and sensed power to the first six relays and dedicated power to the final relay

2 WROF connects a single fuse to each relay common connection. Voltage feedback for the fuse is included.

3 WROG uses a single fuse to distribute power from an input connector to each relay. Voltage feedback for the fuse is included.
