Description
The 330104-01-06-05-01-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-performance eddy current transducer engineered for industrial automation, predictive maintenance, and precision condition monitoring. Designed with a 60 mm overall case length, 10 mm unthreaded length, and M10x1 threaded probe, it delivers precise measurement of both static position and dynamic vibration with a 2 mm linear range (80 mils). This probe converts the distance between its tip and a conductive surface into an accurate output voltage, supporting real-time monitoring of pumps, turbines, compressors, and fluid-film bearings in automated systems.
Equipped with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with protector and a 0.5-meter standard cable, the probe ensures stable signal transmission and minimal interference. It operates reliably in extreme conditions from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F) with a supply sensitivity below 2 mV per volt and 50 Ω output resistance, maintaining high accuracy under harsh industrial environments. The patented TipLoc molding enhances the bond between probe tip and body, while the CableLoc design provides 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, keeping the probe securely attached in high-vibration environments. Fully CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approved and API 670 compliant, it supports interchangeability across all 3300 XL and standard series components, reducing maintenance and calibration efforts. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents fluid ingress, increasing durability and reliability in oil-lubricated systems.
Applications
Application 1: Vibration Monitoring in Rotating Equipment
Used on turbines and centrifugal pumps, the probe provides high-resolution vibration readings, detecting imbalance and misalignment early, which can reduce unscheduled downtime by up to 15%.
Application 2: Shaft Position Measurement
Measures radial and axial displacement in motors and compressors with ±2 μm accuracy, supporting predictive maintenance strategies and ensuring optimal machinery alignment.
Application 3: Keyphasor Reference Signal Generation
Generates precise Keyphasor and speed signals, improving control system accuracy for rotating machinery and phase detection consistency within ±1°.
Application 4: Bearing Health Analysis
Monitors fluid-film and hydrodynamic bearings, allowing early detection of wear, misalignment, or lubrication issues, extending equipment service life by 10–15%.
Application 5: Operation in Hazardous Environments
With CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals, the probe safely measures vibration and position in flammable or high-risk industrial zones, ensuring reliable automation control.
