Description
The 3300/50 Tachometer continuously measures shaft rotational speed from 1 to 99,999 rpm, rotor acceleration/deceleration from -9,999 to 9,999 rpm/min, and provides zero-speed output below 100 rpm. The 3300/50 Tachometer accepts two transducer signals from Bently Nevada 3300, 7200, or 3000 series proximity probes, with internal voting logic to prevent false readings if a single transducer fails. Nominal power consumption is 2.5 W, with 10 kΩ input impedance and voltage/current outputs (0–+12 Vdc, +4 to +20 mA) through 100 Ω output impedance. Buffered coaxial outputs per transducer are short-circuit protected, and transducer supply voltage is user-programmable for -24 Vdc or -18 Vdc. Signal conditioning accuracy is ±1 rpm for speed and ±20 rpm/min for rotor acceleration at +25°C. Operating temperature is 0°C to +65°C, storage -40°C to +85°C, and relative humidity up to 95%. The non-multiplexing 3300/50 Tachometer provides green LED OK indicators, red Alert LEDs for first-out conditions, and Bypass LED functions, enabling automated monitoring and integration with control systems for real-time rotational speed management in turbines, compressors, and other rotating machinery.
Applications
Monitor turbine shaft speed with high precision
The 3300/50 Tachometer measures rotational speeds from 1 to 99,999 rpm and outputs real-time voltage/current signals to PLCs or DCS systems, allowing precise automated control of turbines and generators.
Measure rotor acceleration for automated protection
Using ±20 rpm/min signal conditioning, the 3300/50 Tachometer tracks rotor acceleration/deceleration, triggering automated protection sequences in compressors, pumps, or high-speed rotating equipment.
Enable zero-speed monitoring and interlocks
The 3300/50 Tachometer provides zero-speed output below 100 rpm, activating automated start/stop sequences or safety interlocks for large industrial machinery.

Competitive Advantage
High-accuracy measurement for automated speed control
The 3300/50 Tachometer achieves ±1 rpm speed accuracy and ±20 rpm/min acceleration accuracy, supporting precise automated monitoring and control of high-speed machinery.
Buffered outputs with short-circuit protection
The 3300/50 Tachometer provides front coaxial and rear terminal buffered outputs with 100 Ω impedance, ensuring safe connection to control systems and data acquisition equipment.
Low-power operation for multi-monitor racks
With only 2.5 W nominal power consumption, the 3300/50 Tachometer can be installed alongside multiple monitors in automation racks without exceeding power limits.
Automated fault detection with dual-transducer voting
The 3300/50 Tachometer prevents false speed indications when one transducer fails, enhancing automated control reliability and reducing the risk of unnecessary shutdowns in industrial processes.
