Description
125760-01 is a Data Manager I/O Module developed by Bently Nevada. It is a part of the Bently Nevada 3500/20 Series Rack Interface Module (RIM). The principal interface to the 3500 rack is the Bently Nevada 3500/20 Series Rack Interface Module (RIM). It offers a proprietary protocol for configuring the rack and retrieving machinery data. The RIM must be placed in rack slot 1.(next to the power supplies)
The RIM is compatible with Bently Nevada external communications processors such as TDXnet, TDIX, and DDIX. While the RIM performs certain activities that are shared by the entire rack, it is not part of the important monitoring channel and has no effect on the overall monitoring system's appropriate, regular performance. One RIM is required per rack. The 3500 System requires a TMR RIM for Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) applications.
The TMR RIM performs "monitor channel comparison" in addition to all of the normal RIM features. Monitor voting is implemented in the 3500 TMR configuration using the settings indicated in the monitor options. The TMR RIM continuously compares the outputs of three redundant monitors using this mechanism. If the TMR RIM determines that the information from one of those monitors is no longer within a predefined percentage of the information from the other two monitors, it will flag the monitor as being in error and record an event in the System Event List.
