Description

The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-BR-04-85-03-02) is a precision-engineered sensor assembly designed for advanced industrial automation and condition monitoring applications. Featuring an 85 mm probe penetration with a 40 mm standoff adapter, this transducer ensures accurate measurement of shaft displacement and vibration in a wide range of rotating machinery. It incorporates a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor without approvals, forming a fully self-contained proximity measurement system, eliminating the need for extension cables or separate Proximitor housings. Direct field wiring connection streamlines integration into monitoring systems and enhances reliability.

The housing is made from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) with glass and conductive fiber reinforcement, providing high mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and effective electrostatic dissipation. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, the PROXPAC XL transducer withstands harsh industrial conditions such as moisture, dust, and corrosive atmospheres. Its electrical characteristics include <2 mV change in output per volt of supply variation, 50 Ω output resistance, and compatibility with 0.2–1.5 mm² (16–24 AWG) field wiring. With a 2 mm linear range, recommended gap of 1.27 mm, and suitability for shafts 50.8 mm minimum to 76.2 mm recommended, it is ideal for turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, and automated industrial equipment. Operating temperatures span -52°C to +100°C, with storage up to +105°C, ensuring consistent performance in extreme conditions.
