Description

The S8029-10 MTTR Module features a Hall effect sensor with a 10 mm sensing distance and operates at 1030 VDC. Its NPN normally open (NO) output ensures precise signal transmission for automation applications. Designed for harsh automotive and electronics environments, the S8029-10 supports extreme temperatures from -40 °F to 40 °F and is ideal for high-performance labeling. The module’s topcoat accepts flexographic, letterpress, and screen inks, enabling thermal transfer printing with wax/resin and resin ribbons. With a loop tack of 3.5 lb/in and a total construction caliper of 0.0061 in, S8029-10 delivers reliable placement and adhesion. UL969 recognized, it meets GM14573, FCA MS-13445, and Ford WSS-M99P41 testing standards, making S8029-10 suitable for automotive exterior or underhood applications.

Applications and Uses

This product is briefly repositionable, and then adhesion increases to a very high ultimate peel strength. S8029 products are engineered to be resistant to harsh chemicals commonly found in the automotive and electronics industries.

Printing and Converting

The top coat is designed for printing by most solvent, UV cured, and water-based flexographic inks; UV cured letterpress, Digital and rotary screen inks. Specially formulated inks are not normally necessary, however, testing is recommended prior to final ink system selections.

Note: With most press inks, overlamination is required to meet the abrasion requirement for c-UL (CSA) recognition. At the 150ºC recognition temperature, overlaminations darken enough to hinder the readability of most yellow colored inks. If overlamination is desired with UL969,c-UL or CSA recognition, seek recognition at a lower maximum use temperature.

Also suitable for thermal transfer printing with select ribbons and printers. Consult product recognition files or the Fasson Thermal Transfer Ribbon Guide for specific recommendations. This product can be die cut and stripped at high speeds on most web-fed presses. Sample labels in a variety of shapes have been successfully dispensed and applied with standard labeling systems.
