Description
The SPAJ141C SPAJ 141C SPAJ141C-AA overcurrent and grounding protection device provides selectable short-circuit and grounding protection for radial distribution feeders in directly grounded, resistively grounded, or impedance-contact power systems. The integrated protection relay includes an overcurrent protection unit and a grounding protection unit with flexible tripping and signaling functions. The overcurrent and grounding protection device can also be used in other applications requiring single-phase, two-phase, or three-phase overcurrent and grounding protection. The overcurrent and grounding protection device includes a circuit breaker failure protection unit.

The relay operates under the conditions specified in the "Technical Data" section. The relay is practically maintenance-free; under normal operating conditions, the relay module contains no components susceptible to abnormal physical or electrical corrosion.
If the environmental conditions at the relay's operating location differ from the specifications, such as temperature, humidity, or prolonged exposure to air containing chemical gases or dust, the relay should undergo secondary testing or a visual inspection after the relay module is removed from its housing. During the visual inspection, the following must be noted:
- Check for any signs of mechanical damage on the relay module, contacts, and relay housing.
- If there is accumulated dust inside the relay cover or housing, carefully remove it with a blower.
- Check for any signs of corrosion or rust on the relay's interior, housing, or terminals.
