Description

Segment Terminal module IC220PWR013 is used to create a protected partial circuit (segment circuit) within the main circuit. It is not used to supply power and has no elements for the protection against polarity reversal and overvoltage. This module has an LED for bus diagnostics and provides input data that indicates the presence of the supply voltage and the state of the fuse.

Automotive welding/assembly workshops: Used to separate sensor power supplies from actuator (e.g., solenoid valve) power supplies, enabling the output power to be cut off without losing the input signal after pressing the "emergency stop" button.

Semiconductor and precision manufacturing plants: Provides independent overload protection and current classification management for different functional sections on multi-station assembly lines.

Food packaging plants: Used in multi-module long guide rail layouts as an intermediate "power supplement" unit when voltage drop is too large.

Electrical Isolation

To provide electrical isolation between the logic level and the I/O area, it is necessary to supply these areas from the Network Interface Unit (NIU) module, or from both the NIU and a Power Terminal module using separate power supplies. Interconnection of power supply units in the 24V range is not allowed. For detailed information, refer to the user manual.

1 Overload/short circuit in segment circuit: Fuse 5 x 20 with 6.3A, slow-blow. You may also add fuses with other values. Fuses must be slow-blow type higher than 2 Amps. The maximum fuse value should not exceed 6.3A.
