Description

The 82926-01 I/O and Record Terminals Relay Module provides early warning of thrust bearing failure by continuously measuring shaft axial position across two independent channels. The 82926-01 accepts two proximity probe signals (eccentricity and Keyphasor) with input impedances of 10 kΩ and 90 kΩ, and supports signal scaling at 200 mV/mil (8 V/mm) or 100 mV/mil (4 V/mm), selectable via jumper. Equipped with dual epoxy relays, the 82926-01 consumes nominally 1.5 W, operates from 0°C to +65°C, and stores from -40°C to +85°C, with up to 95% non-condensing humidity. It provides both direct eccentricity and peak-to-peak eccentricity readings, along with Gap Voltage and Keyphasor trigger threshold data, enabling precise automation of machinery monitoring.

Applications

Power Generation: Thrust Bearing Protection: Often used in conjunction with the 3300/20 dual-channel displacement monitor to monitor axial position. Upon detection of potential thrust bearing failure, an emergency shutdown is triggered via the 82926-01 relay to prevent severe rotor impact.

Oil & Gas: Compressor Unit Monitoring: Used in refineries and gas transmission stations for monitoring radial vibration and axial displacement of centrifugal compressors, ensuring accurate signal transmission to back-end recorders under harsh operating conditions.

Heavy Industry: Provides asset protection for large motors, pumps, and fans, supporting long-term data logging for preventative maintenance.

Competitive Advantage

Competitive Advantage Dual Epoxy Relays for Industrial Switching
The 82926-01 features two epoxy-sealed relays rated for 10 A switching at 250 VAC / 30 VDC, ensuring reliable actuation for alarms or shutdowns even under high humidity up to 95% non-condensing.

Competitive Advantage Selectable Signal Scaling for Precision
The 82926-01 allows users to choose 200 mV/mil or 100 mV/mil output, enabling automated systems to match transducer outputs to specific process tolerances, improving detection sensitivity.

Competitive Advantage Low Power Consumption for Continuous Monitoring
The 82926-01 operates at a nominal 1.5 W, reducing energy load on monitoring racks while providing real-time data to automated control systems.

Competitive Advantage Environmental Tolerance for Harsh Conditions
Operating from 0°C to +65°C and storing at -40°C to +85°C, the 82926-01 maintains accurate measurements under temperature extremes, supporting automated monitoring in industrial environments.
