Description

The IC660BBR100 is a Normally Closed Relay Output Block. This block provides 16 output circuits in four independent groups with four relay-type outputs each.

Relay Blocks in the Genius I/O product family arrange outputs in groups of four, and each output can be powered by its own AC or DC source. Because IC660BBR100 is normally closed rather than normally open, it remains in a conductive state when de-energized. Block power for IC660BBR100 can be factory set at 115 VAC or 230 VAC (optional). Voltage selection is made by jumpers on the block's terminal assembly.

Isolation between output circuit groups is 1500 VAC. This block can be used with a wide range of low-power control and indicating devices, including lamps, contactors, and relays. The Relay Output Block behavior can be customized for the environment by way of a handheld monitor. The user can set defaults for output power-up actions, establish whether output reverts to previous state or factory settings during electrical communication interruption, and select a CPU redundancy type. IC660BBR100 can also be designated for bus switching module control.

Applications

Power plants: Used to control large circuit breakers, disconnectors, and auxiliary safety interlock circuits for generator sets.

Steel smelting plants: Used to control large motor starters, solenoid valves, and heavy conveying equipment in environments with extremely strong electromagnetic interference.

Petrochemical plants: Used for remote control of on-site electric actuators, alarm horns, and lighting systems.

Automobile manufacturing plants: Used to drive medium and large contactors and pneumatic solenoid valve assemblies on painting or assembly lines.

Water treatment plants: Manage the start-stop control cabinets of large water pumps and the switching logic of various electric gates.

Paper machinery plants: Responsible for the intermediate relay switching of large transmission systems such as the dry wire and press section.
