Description
The 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter is designed for OEM centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans, providing a 4–20 mA proportional axial displacement signal for automated machinery control. Supporting full-scale ±0.6 mm thrust measurement, the 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter accepts a single 3300 NSv Proximity Probe and matching extension cable up to 7.0 meters (23.0 feet). It operates from -35°C to +85°C, with storage from -51°C to +100°C, and requires +12 to +35 Vdc input. The transmitter’s non-isolated Prox Out with 10 kΩ output impedance supplies a dynamic vibration and gap voltage signal for diagnostic automation. Bulkhead screw mounting and CSA Division 2 approval enable field-ready installation. Non-interacting zero/span potentiometers, a test input pin, and a power-up inhibit circuit allow precise loop calibration and prevent signal errors. The potted construction resists high humidity, while compatibility with 3300 NSv Proximity Probe enables installation in tight axial-clearance areas. The 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter conditions shaft axial movement into standardized signals, facilitating automated machinery monitoring, protection, and control logic integration.
Applications
Measure Axial Shaft Displacement:
The 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter converts input from a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe into a 4–20 mA signal for monitoring axial shaft movement within a linear range of 0.25–1.65 mm (10–65 mils), supporting automated machinery control in centrifugal compressors, small pumps, and motors.
Integrate Shaft Position into Control Logic:
With +12 to +35 Vdc loop power and 10 kΩ output impedance, the 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter feeds precise axial position data into automation systems for machinery protection, alarms, and logic sequences.
Enable Diagnostic Signal Monitoring:
The Prox Out with coaxial connector provides dynamic vibration and gap voltage signals for condition monitoring and automated diagnostics over lead wires up to 3 meters (10 feet).
Support Compact Machinery Installations:
Compatible with the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe and 7.0 m system length, the 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter allows installation in tight axial-clearance spaces typical of centrifugal air compressors.

Competitive Advantage
Loop-Powered 2-Wire Operation:
Simplifies wiring and reduces installation complexity, enabling quick integration with automated control systems without additional power sources.
Integrated Proximitor Sensor:
No external sensor is required; the 991-06-70-02-01 Thrust Transmitter directly conditions the 3300 NSv input into standard 4–20 mA output.
Loop Calibration On-Site:
Non-interacting zero and span potentiometers plus test input pin allow field verification and adjustment, ensuring accurate signal delivery to automation systems.
Power-Up and Fault Protection:
Power-up inhibit and Not OK/Signal Defeat circuits prevent false alarms from voltage transients or probe disconnection, safeguarding control system logic.
Flexible Mounting Options:
Bulkhead screws or optional DIN-rail clips enable rapid deployment in varying machine layouts, maintaining alignment with automated monitoring requirements.
