Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-BR-05-060-00-02) is a self-contained proximity sensing assembly engineered for precise shaft vibration and position monitoring in industrial automation and critical rotating machinery. With a 60 mm probe penetration and a 50 mm standoff adapter, this transducer is ideal for installations where compact housing and short probe penetration are required. The assembly integrates a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor within the housing, eliminating the need for separate Proximitor housings or extension cables, which simplifies field wiring and reduces installation complexity.
The housing is made from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, providing superior mechanical strength, electrostatic dissipation, and chemical resistance. The assembly is IP66 and Type 4X rated, enabling reliable operation in wet, dusty, and corrosive industrial environments. It supports a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended gap setting of 1.27 mm (50 mils), and accommodates shafts from 50.8 mm (2.0 in) minimum to 76.2 mm (3.0 in) recommended.
Electrical performance is highly stable, featuring supply sensitivity < 2 mV per volt, output resistance of 50 Ω, and compatibility with 16–24 AWG cables (0.2–1.5 mm²).
