Description
The 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter converts input from a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe into a proportional 4–20 mA signal for automated machinery control. The 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter operates over a linear range of 0.25–1.65 mm (10–65 mils) and supports system lengths up to 5.0 m (16.4 ft). Powered by +12 to +35 Vdc with 23 mA typical current, it delivers loop-powered signal conditioning for small pumps, motors, fans, or centrifugal compressors. The 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter includes an integrated Proximitor Sensor, non-isolated Prox Out with 10 kΩ impedance, and BNC connector output for diagnostics. DIN-rail mounting and potted construction allow quick installation in high-humidity environments. The Not OK/Signal Defeat circuit prevents false alarms due to loose or damaged 3300 NSv Proximity Probes, while non-interacting zero and span potentiometers simplify loop adjustments. With CSA Division 2, ATEX Zone 0/2, and ABS maritime approvals, the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter meets industrial automation requirements in hazardous or marine environments.
Applications
Measure Radial Vibration on Small Shafts
The 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter uses 3300 NSv Proximity Probes to monitor radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in), converting displacement (0.25–1.65 mm / 10–65 mils) into 4–20 mA signals for machinery control systems.
Track Axial (Thrust) Shaft Movement
Install the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter with a 5 m system length to measure axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in), sending proportional signals to automated PLCs or DCS for real-time thrust monitoring.
Provide Loop-Powered Vibration Signals to Control Systems
The 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter delivers 4–20 mA proportional vibration outputs with 12–35 Vdc supply, supporting direct integration into industrial automation systems for centrifugal compressors, pumps, and small motors.
Enable Dynamic Gap Monitoring for Diagnostics
With non-isolated PROX OUT terminals and BNC connector, the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter provides live vibration and gap voltage signals, allowing technicians to conduct automated diagnostics and preventive maintenance.

Competitive Advantage
Support High-Resistance Loop Circuits
Operating with maximum loop resistance of 1,000 Ω and 23 mA typical current, the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter maintains accurate 4–20 mA signals over long cable runs in automated setups.
Quick Field Installation
DIN-rail clips, potted housing, and SpringLoc terminal strips enable fast wiring and secure mounting of the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter in high-humidity (up to 100% condensing) environments.
Prevent False Alarms from Probe Faults
The built-in Not OK/Signal Defeat circuit ensures the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter stops high outputs from faulty probes or loose connections, protecting automated control logic.
Operate Safely in Hazardous Locations
Approved for CSA Division 2, ATEX Zone 0/2, and ABS maritime standards, the 990-05-50-01-CN Vibration Transmitter can be deployed in explosive or marine environments without compromising automated monitoring accuracy.
