Description

The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor is part of a complete 3300 XL 25 mm Transducer System, including a 25 mm probe and extension cable. The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor accepts one noncontacting 3300 XL 25 mm Proximity Probe and provides a 0.787 V/mm (20 mV/mil) output with 50 Ω resistance and supply sensitivity under 2 mV per volt. It operates over −51°C to +100°C and is panel mountable with a system length of 9.0 m (29.5 ft). The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor is designed for differential expansion (DE) measurement on mid-size to large steam turbine generators, capturing axial rotor movement relative to the casing. Its thin design supports DIN-rail or panel mounting, while SpringLoc terminal strips allow rapid field wiring without special tools. The sensor is compatible with CSA, ATEX, and IECEx environments and pairs with FluidLoc-equipped probes to prevent moisture ingress. High-temperature ClickLoc connectors and connector protectors ensure reliable connections in tight clearances. The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor also enables upgrades from older 7200 25 mm or 35 mm DE transducer systems without monitor reconfiguration.

Applications

Measure Differential Expansion on Turbines
Use the 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor with two 25 mm probes to capture rotor-to-stator axial displacement. The 0.787 V/mm (20 mV/mil) output of 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor supports a linear range of 12.7 mm (500 mils), enabling precise measurement of differential expansion (DE) in mid-size and large steam turbine generators.

Monitor Rotor Axial Position
Deploy the 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor to track rotor axial movement using panel-mount or DIN-rail configurations. With a −51°C to +100°C (−60°F to +212°F) operating range, the 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor maintains accurate axial position readings under normal turbine operation.

Upgrade Legacy DE Systems
The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor enables direct replacement of 7200 25 mm and 35 mm DE systems. Using the same SpringLoc terminal strips and 50 Ω output, 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor allows complete transducer system upgrades without monitor configuration changes.

Enable High-Temperature DE Monitoring
The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor works with 25 mm probes that tolerate intermittent temperatures up to +250°C (482°F), allowing accurate DE measurement in extreme steam turbine environments.

Specifications

Competitive Advantage

High-Temperature Operation
The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor operates continuously up to +100°C (212°F) and supports brief excursions to +105°C (221°F), ensuring DE measurements remain accurate in harsh thermal conditions.

Fluid and Moisture Protection
Paired with FluidLoc-equipped 25 mm probes, the 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor prevents moisture ingress, maintaining reliable readings even under 100% condensing humidity.

Simplified Field Wiring
SpringLoc terminal strips on the 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor reduce installation time and allow fast, tool-free connections. Field wiring accommodates 0.2–1.5 mm² (16–24 AWG), making setup efficient.

Wide System Compatibility
The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor accepts any noncontacting 3300 XL 25 mm probe and extension cable. This ensures seamless replacement of legacy 7200 25 mm and 35 mm DE systems, keeping the system output at 0.787 V/mm (20 mV/mil) with 50 Ω resistance.

Flexible Mounting Options
The 330850-90-05 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor supports panel mount or DIN-rail installation, fitting high-density environments while maintaining linear measurement performance.
