Description
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor continuously measures two independent channels of shaft axial position relative to thrust bearing clearances, providing early warning of bearing wear or failure. The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor accepts one or two proximity probe inputs with 10 kΩ input impedance and user-programmable sensitivity of 100 mV/mil or 200 mV/mil. Signal conditioning accuracy is ±0.33% typical and ±1% maximum at 25°C.
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor outputs user-programmable recorder signals (+4 to +20 mA, 0 to -10 Vdc, or +1 to +5 Vdc) per channel, with voltage compliance of 0–+12 Vdc and 100 Ω output impedance. Buffered transducer outputs are provided on front coaxial connectors and rear terminals. LEDs indicate channel OK, Alert, Danger, and bypass status, while the 83 mm vertical bargraph LCD displays probe gap, error codes, and ADJUST mode with ±1.6% resolution. Operating temperature is 0°C to +65°C with 1.5 W nominal power consumption. The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor is suitable for automated thrust monitoring in turbines, compressors, and industrial rotating machinery.
Applications
Measure axial shaft movement in turbines and compressors
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor tracks two independent thrust channels with 10 kΩ input impedance and user-programmable sensitivity of 100 mV/mil or 200 mV/mil. By monitoring shaft position relative to axial clearance up to full-scale ±500 µm, the 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor provides early detection of bearing wear or misalignment.
Trigger automated Alert and Danger alarms with ±1% signal conditioning
Using quad LED indicators per channel and user-programmable recorder outputs (+4 to +20 mA, 0–+12 Vdc, +1 to +5 Vdc), the 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor allows real-time automated shutdown or control actions in turbines and compressors.
Transmit precise thrust position data to PLCs and DCS systems
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor provides voltage outputs with 100 Ω impedance and current outputs across 0–600 Ω load, sending accurate axial position data for control logic and automated responses.
Connect and power axial probes with short-circuit protection
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor delivers user-programmable -24 Vdc or -18 Vdc to each probe, enabling secure integration of proximity probes for continuous monitoring.

Competitive Advantage
Dual-channel thrust monitoring in a single module
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor simultaneously measures two axial channels, reducing hardware needs and allowing precise monitoring of left and right thrust positions within ±0.33% typical signal accuracy.
Digitally adjustable sensitivity with repeatable output
The 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor supports sensitivity selection of 100 mV/mil or 200 mV/mil and alarm setpoints repeatable within ±0.39% of full-scale, enabling precise configuration for different machinery.
Provide high-resolution visual feedback
With an 83 mm vertical bargraph LCD and ±1.6% full-scale resolution, the 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor clearly displays probe gap, error codes, and ADJUST mode for operator evaluation.
Low-power operation supporting multiple installations
Consuming 1.5 W nominal, the 3300/20 Dual Thrust Position Monitor allows multiple units to operate in a single automation rack without exceeding power limits, maintaining reliable monitoring in industrial environments.
