Description
The 140471-02 I/O Module is designed for the Bently Nevada 3500/64M Dynamic Pressure Monitor to process bandpass dynamic pressure signals in industrial automation racks. The 140471-02 I/O Module accepts 1 to 4 high-temperature pressure transducer inputs, supporting 3-wire (10 kΩ) and 2-wire (1.5–3.5 MΩ) configurations. Dynamic pressure sensitivity is 100 mV/psi (1.45 mV/mBar), enabling precise pressure fluctuation measurement in turbine and compressor systems.
The 140471-02 I/O Module provides –24 Vdc supply for 3-wire sensors and 3.3 mA @ 22 Vdc nominal for 2-wire sensors. Direct filter options include 5 Hz to 4 kHz in Low Mode and 10 Hz to 14.75 kHz in High Mode. Recorder output is 4–20 mA per channel with 0–600 Ω load and 0 to +12 Vdc compliance. Resolution is 0.3662 µA per bit with ±0.25% error at room temperature. The 140471-02 I/O Module updates in approximately 100 ms and supports alert delays from 1 to 60 s and danger delays from 0.1 s to 60 s, enabling automated alarm and shutdown control.
Applications
Application for Turbine Pressure Monitoring
The 140471-02 I/O Module measures bandpass dynamic pressure from high-temperature transducers in steam and gas turbines. Its 5 Hz–14.75 kHz filter range captures fast pressure fluctuations, allowing automated shutdown if pressure exceeds setpoints.
Application for Compressor Surge Detection
Using 1–4 transducer inputs, the 140471-02 I/O Module monitors compressors for rapid pressure changes. The module’s 100 ms update rate enables real-time detection of surge events and triggers alarm outputs to control systems.
Application for Pump Vibration-Induced Pressure Analysis
The 140471-02 I/O Module converts dynamic pressure signals into 4–20 mA outputs, allowing integration into pump control systems for detecting flow pulsations and pressure spikes.
Application for Multi-Channel Rack Automation Integration
The 140471-02 I/O Module fits a single slot and processes up to 4 transducer inputs, enabling centralized pressure monitoring in industrial automation racks.
