Description

IC693MDL330 is a 120/240 volt, 2-Amp AC Output Module for the GE Fanuc Series 90-30. The module provides four output points in each of its two isolated groups for a total of eight. The two commons are not compound for this module. This allows each group to perform on completely individual AC-supplied phases. Alternatively, they can all also work using the same supply. Each group also has the protection of a 5-ampere fuse for each common. There is an RC snubber in place for each output to protect against transient electrical noise on the power line.

The output voltage range for this module is 85 to 264 volts AC, 50/60 Hz. The output current is 2 amperes maximum per point. Per group, the maximum is 4 amps at 40 °C (104 °F). The IC693MDL330 provides high-degree inrush current (10x the rated current/ 20 amperes maximum for one cycle), making the outputs suitable for controlling a wide range of inductive and incandescent loads. The minimum load current is 100 mA.

Applications

Manufacturing plants: Pneumatic distributors driving medium-sized solenoid valves, cylinder control valves, and robotic arms.

Food and packaging industries: AC contactor coils controlling conveyor belt drives and heating relays for sealing machines.

Water treatment and pumping stations: Controlling the opening and closing of small auxiliary pumps and electric ball valves.

HVAC: Solenoid switches driving fan damper actuators and cooling towers.

Commercial lighting and building automation: Contactors controlling high-power lighting circuits.

FAQ

Q: What is the rated voltage of IC693MDL330?

A: 120/240 volts AC

Q: What is the output voltage range of IC693MDL330?

A: 85 to 264 volts AC, 50/60 Hz

Q: What kind of power source does this module require?

A: The IC693MDL330 requires an AC power source. A DC power source cannot be used with this module.

Q: With what is each group protected?

A: Each group is protected by a 5 amp fuse, and a RC snubber is included for each output to protect from transient electrical noise on the power line.

Q: Into what can the IC693MDL330 be installed?

A: The IC693MDL330 can be installed in any I/O slot of a 5- or 10-slot baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLC system.

Q: What does the red LED (labeled F) mean if it turns ON?

A: It means that one of the fuses has blown.

Q: What is an IC693MDL330?

A: The IC693MDL330 is a 120/240 volt, 2 Amp AC Output module for the GE Fanuc Series 90-30. It provides 8 output points in 2 isolated groups with 4 points in each group. The 2 commons are not tied together inside the module, allowing each group to be used on different phases of the AC supply or powered from the same supply.
