Description

The IC676PBI008 VersaMax module is a compact node that allows control and I/O to be linked together, taking up less space than a typical control/I/O combination. The IC676PBI008 module can be directly connected to the PROFIBUS DP bus, providing digital inputs for connecting PNP3 line sensors. Each input has short-circuit protection, with a yellow and a red LED indicating ON or overload status. The module is epoxy-encapsulated and uses metal connectors, making it very robust. The module connects to the PROFIBUS DP bus via an M12 connector. A green and a red indicator light indicate the module's online/offline status. The module supports a maximum communication rate of 12Mbps, automatically matching the master station's communication rate. The module address can be set via two rotary switches, ranging from 0 to 99.
