Description

Field termination assembly module FS-TSFIRE-1624 is the interface between (digital) fire detectors and the safe high-density analog input module SAI-1620m in Safety Manager. It may be used for installations in, and interfacing signals to Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations. The FS-TSFIRE-1624 module has sixteen digital detector input channels which may be used for both safetyrelated and non-safety-related applications.

Applications

Oil refinery: Monitors fire and toxic gas leaks in crude processing and storage areas, ensuring safe signal transmission in hazardous environments.

LNG plant: Provides high-density channel monitoring in cryogenic storage areas to prevent flammable gas accumulation and secondary hazards.

Large chemical plant: Used in reactors and hazardous storage, ensuring explosion-proof isolation and safe emergency shutdown interlocking.

Thermal power plant: Deployed in boiler rooms, fuel lines, and cable interlayers for stable early fire alarm integration.

Offshore drilling platform: Provides reliable termination and loop diagnostics for SIS systems under high salt spray and vibration conditions.

Main functions

Power supply to each detector with voltage-current limitation in compliance with Hazardous Area Class I Division 2

Fire detection input function

Global reset of the connected sensors
