Description
The Honeywell Field termination assembly module FS-TSDI-16UNI is the interface between system interconnection cable SICC-0001/Lx and the external field wiring (screw terminals). Sixteen channels (separated into two groups of eight channels with a 250 mA fuse in the common +) can be connected to the FS-TSDI-16UNI module via a system interconnection cable (SICC-0001/Lx). This cable is plugged into the SIC connector on the FTA module, and connects to a (redundant pair of) SDIL-1608 module(s). The FTA module has a universal snap-in provision for standard DIN EN rails, and screw terminals for connecting field wiring.

Troubleshooting
Simultaneous power outage or unresponsiveness of all 8 channels: First, check if the power supply route for the corresponding group is interrupted. Next, check if the corresponding SOC modular fuse has blown due to external overload or short circuit (easily triggered when single-channel current exceeds 175 mA). Before replacing with the same model fuse, any short circuit faults in the field wiring must be cleared.
Intermittent channel input signal or false alarms: Field wiring vibration may have caused loosening. Use a torque meter to tighten each AWG 14 terminal block to the standard 0.5 Nm. Also check if the stripped wire length is less than 7 mm, resulting in insufficient contact area or wire core oxidation.
