Description

The 990-04-XX-01-00 Vibration Transmitter from Bently Nevada™ converts input from a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe into a 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal for machinery control systems. The 990-04-XX-01-00 Vibration Transmitter supports a full-scale range of 0–4 mils pp (0–100 μm pp) and conditions signals over a linear range of 0.25 to 1.65 mm (10–65 mils) via a 10 kΩ output impedance calibrated for a 10 MΩ load. Operating from -35°C to +85°C and storing up to -52°C to +100°C, the 990-04-XX-01-00 Vibration Transmitter functions reliably in industrial automation environments.

Loop-powered with +12 to +35 Vdc input and 23 mA typical current draw, the 990-04-XX-01-00 Vibration Transmitter integrates non-isolated PROX OUT and COM terminals, a coaxial output for diagnostic signals, and test input pins for quick loop verification. DIN rail or bulkhead mounting options allow flexible installation in small spaces, while potted construction permits operation in up to 100% condensing humidity. The 990-04-XX-01-00 Vibration Transmitter provides real-time, proportional vibration amplitude data, enabling OEMs and automation systems to monitor centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans efficiently for machinery protection and process control applications.

Applications

Centrifugal Air Compressors: This is the primary application of this transmitter, specifically designed for monitoring shaft vibration in small or compact centrifugal compressors.
