Description
The 81725-02 14mm 7200 Series Proximitor is a non-contact shaft vibration and position transducer designed for automated machinery monitoring. The 81725-02 measures the gap between its 14 mm probe tip and a metal surface, converting distances into a proportional negative DC voltage for real-time monitoring. Operating at -18 to -24 VDC and a wide temperature range of -34°C to +177°C, the 81725-02 captures both static and dynamic shaft movements.
Integrated into industrial automation and turbine supervisory systems, the 81725-02 provides continuous radial vibration and axial thrust position data. Its compact design allows multiple probes to be installed in dense rack configurations, and the 81725-02 outputs precise voltage signals to control and monitoring equipment. The 81725-02 supports automated condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and real-time shaft alignment measurement, enabling machinery protection and operational efficiency across industrial applications.
Applications
Hydroelectric Power: Turbine Main Shaft Monitoring: In hydroelectric units, the radial runout of the shaft is typically large. The wide linear range of the 14mm system is ideal for monitoring such low-speed, large-displacement equipment.
Heavy Industrial Compressors: Reciprocating Compressors: Used for rod drop monitoring, assessing piston rod displacement in real time to predict wear of the support rings.
Oil & Gas: Large Centrifuges and Expanders: Used in refineries or LNG plants for axial thrust protection of critical rotors, preventing rotor-stator collisions.
Power & Manufacturing: Large Steam Turbines: As an auxiliary monitoring system, measuring the relative motion between the bearing housing and the rotor.
