Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-28-04-85-03-02) is an advanced industrial automation sensor designed for high-precision shaft monitoring, vibration detection, and predictive maintenance in harsh operating environments. Equipped with an 85 mm probe penetration, a 40 mm standoff adapter, and an 8 mm 3300 XL probe with multiple approvals, it provides accurate displacement measurement for shafts ranging from 50.8 mm to 76.2 mm in diameter. The integrated 3300 XL Proximitor sensor makes this transducer a self-contained system, eliminating the need for extension cables or separate Proximitor housings, and allowing direct connection to condition monitoring systems through 16–24 AWG field wiring.
The housing is manufactured from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, ensuring mechanical strength, electrostatic charge dissipation, and corrosion resistance. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, it reliably operates in extreme temperatures from -52°C to +100°C and storage temperatures up to +105°C, providing consistent performance in dusty, wet, and chemically aggressive industrial environments. Electrical characteristics include <2 mV supply sensitivity, 50 Ω output resistance, and a 2 mm linear range with a recommended 1.27 mm gap, delivering precise and stable measurements for automated industrial systems.
