Description
The 3500/94 VGA Display from Bently Nevada™ uses a standard color VGA monitor with touch screen technology to present all 3500 Machinery Protection System data, including system events, alarm events, module and channel values, and API-670 style rack views. The 3500/94 VGA Display consists of a VGA module with I/O card and a display monitor that can be mounted up to 8 m (25 ft) from the rack, or up to 305 m (1000 ft) using a KVM Extender. Operating from -30°C to +65°C and storing up to +85°C with 95% non-condensing humidity, the 3500/94 VGA Display ensures reliable data monitoring in industrial automation environments. Power consumption is 4.6 W max. The module occupies 1 full-height front slot for the monitor and 1 full-height rear slot for the I/O module. LEDs provide OK and TX/RX status for immediate operational and communication feedback. The 3500/94 VGA Display supports high-speed internal network monitoring, RS232 touch controller input, and VGA analog output. Optional Display Router Box allows one 3500/94 VGA Display to switch between up to four racks while maintaining alarm and OK status visibility, enabling operators to access real-time data efficiently and manage multiple monitored channels in automated systems.
Applications
Power Generation: Used to monitor the operating status of large steam turbines, gas turbines, and generator sets in power plants to ensure power system stability.
Oil & Gas: Monitors the mechanical health of critical rotating equipment in refineries, liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing plants, and remote pipeline compressor stations.
Petrochemical: Applied to various large pump sets, blowers, and compressors to prevent production interruptions or safety accidents caused by mechanical failures.
Metallurgy & Mining: Monitors large fans, crushers, and power-driven equipment in steel plants.
Offshore Platforms: Commonly used for unmanned or harsh-environment offshore platforms due to their support for remote configuration and harsh environment certifications (such as ATEX, CSA).

Competitive Advantage
Enable Custom Screen Configuration
The 3500/94 VGA Display allows up to nine custom screens to display selected module data, such as 1X measurements or gaps. Operators can organize channels by train groupings or rack layout for targeted monitoring.
Streamline Rack Integration
With 1 full-height front slot for the display module and 1 full-height rear slot for the I/O module, the 3500/94 VGA Display installs easily in existing racks without interfering with other modules.
Provide Immediate Operational Insights
LEDs on the 3500/94 VGA Display offer instant feedback on communication and module operation, combined with a high-speed internal network, ensuring operators can detect issues and monitor multiple channels effectively.
Support Long-Distance Remote Monitoring
Using the optional KVM Extender, the 3500/94 VGA Display can operate up to 305 m (1000 ft) from the rack, while the Display Router Box enables switching between up to four racks. This allows industrial automation systems to centralize monitoring across extended sites without losing visibility of alarms or operational data.
