Description

The 3500/70M 176449-09 Recip Impulse Velocity Monitor is a 4-channel module designed for monitoring reciprocating compressor crankcase and crosshead vibration. Each 3500/70M 176449-09 channel accepts 1–4 proximity probe signals, with input impedance of 10 kΩ for acceleration and >1 MΩ for velocity. The monitor conditions signals to generate impulse acceleration (0.51–11.72 mV/(m/s²)), Acceleration 2, reciprocal velocity (3.54–22.64 mV/(mm/s)), and low-frequency reciprocal velocity. Configurable alert (1–60 s) and danger (0.1–60 s) setpoints allow continuous protection by triggering alarms when monitored parameters exceed set thresholds. The 3500/70M 176449-09 provides proportional recorder outputs (+4 to +20 mA) for each channel, operates at 7.7 W nominal power, fits 1 front and 1 rear full-height rack slot, and delivers update rates below 100 ms for fast automation integration in compressor monitoring systems.

Applications

Detect Crankcase Abnormal Vibration using the 3500/70M 176449-09 to monitor signals from 1–4 proximity probes with input impedance of 10 kΩ for acceleration and >1 MΩ for velocity, identifying early mechanical issues.

Measure Crosshead Vibration with the 3500/70M 176449-09 by generating impulse acceleration signals from 0.51–11.72 mV/(m/s²) to prevent component wear and reduce unplanned downtime.

Analyze Low-Frequency Reciprocal Velocity using the 3500/70M 176449-09 (3.54–22.64 mV/(mm/s)) to guide compressor operating adjustments and optimize machine performance.

Provide Recorder Outputs with the 3500/70M 176449-09 (+4 to +20 mA, ±0.05 mA typical) for SCADA or DCS integration, allowing continuous performance tracking.

Set Alert and Danger Thresholds using the 3500/70M 176449-09 with configurable delays (alert 1–60 s, danger 0.1–60 s) to quickly notify operators of abnormal vibration conditions.

Competitive Advantage

Enable Continuous Compressor Protection by the 3500/70M 176449-09, comparing measured impulse acceleration (0.51–11.72 mV/(m/s²)) and reciprocal velocity (3.54–22.64 mV/(mm/s)) against programmed setpoints.

Support Multi-Channel Monitoring with the 3500/70M 176449-09, accurately processing 1–4 proximity probe signals simultaneously to detect deviations in vibration patterns.

Provide Fast Automation Response with the 3500/70M 176449-09 using <100 ms update rate, ensuring immediate alarm activation and operational intervention.

Simplify Installation and Integration with the 3500/70M 176449-09, fitting standard 1 front and 1 rear full-height rack slots in existing monitoring systems.

Deliver Accurate Recorder Signals through the 3500/70M 176449-09 (+4 to +20 mA, ±0.14 mA over temperature) for real-time analysis and operational control decisions.
