Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-28-04-150-06-02) is a high-performance, self-contained proximity sensing system designed for industrial automation and rotating machinery monitoring, providing precise shaft vibration and displacement measurements. With a 150 mm probe penetration and a 40 mm standoff adapter, this assembly is suitable for recessed or deep housings while maintaining highly accurate readings. The integrated 3300 XL 8 mm Proximitor sensor with multiple approvals eliminates the need for separate Proximitor housings or extension cables, simplifying installation and reducing potential wiring errors.
The housing is made from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, offering excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and electrostatic dissipation. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, the assembly can withstand wet, dusty, and corrosive environments. The transducer supports a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended gap setting of 1.27 mm (50 mils) and is compatible with shafts from 50.8 mm (2.0 in) minimum to 76.2 mm (3.0 in) recommended.
Electrical performance is stable and reliable, featuring supply sensitivity < 2 mV per volt, output resistance of 50 Ω, and field wiring support for 16–24 AWG cables (0.2–1.5 mm²).
