Description
The 3300/46 3300/46-46-04-02-01 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor measures differential expansion on large machinery using two proximity probes mounted on rotor ramp surfaces, providing one channel of measurement with increased range up to 50 mm. The 3300/46 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor 3300/46-46-04-02-01 accepts two transducer signals with 10 kΩ input impedance and jumper-selectable scale factors of 100 mV/mil, 20 mV/mil, or 10 mV/mil. Signal conditioning accuracy is ±0.33% typical and ±1% maximum at 25°C.
The 3300/46 3300/46-46-04-02-01 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor outputs voltage (0–+12 Vdc) and current (+4 to +20 mA) signals with 100 Ω output impedance and provides front coaxial and rear terminal buffered outputs. A non-multiplexing 83 mm vertical bargraph LCD displays magnitude and direction of differential expansion with ±1.6% resolution. Four alarm setpoints (two over, two under) and LED indicators for OK, Alert, Danger, and Bypass allow automated monitoring and alarm signaling. Operating temperature is 0°C to +65°C, storage -40°C to +85°C, and power consumption is 1.5 W. The 3300/46 3300/46-46-04-02-01 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor is ideal for automated differential expansion monitoring in turbines, generators, and other large industrial rotating machinery.
Applications
Measure differential expansion on turbine rotors
The 3300/46 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor 3300/46-46-04-02-01 uses two proximity probes on rotor ramps to detect expansion up to 50 mm, providing precise monitoring for large turbines.
Trigger automated over/under expansion alarms
With four digitally adjustable alarm setpoints, the 3300/46 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor 3300/46-46-04-02-01 signals automated Alert and Danger conditions to control systems for rotor protection.
Provide real-time expansion data to PLCs or DCS systems
The 3300/46 Ramp Differential Expansion Monitor 3300/46-46-04-02-01 outputs 0–+12 Vdc or +4 to +20 mA signals, allowing integration into automated control and monitoring networks.
