Description

The 2MLF-RD8A is a high-precision RTD Input Module in the MasterLogic 200 series. It can receive the resistance value signal generated by the RTD due to temperature changes, and convert the resistance signal into digital temperature data inside the module, which is then sent to the central processing unit for temperature monitoring and process control.

Chemical plant: reactor platinum RTDs for process temperature measurement.

Refinery: distillation column top and bottom RTDs for temperature monitoring.

Power plant: turbine bearing and generator coil RTDs for equipment temperature monitoring.

Pharmaceutical plant: autoclave and fermenter RTDs for process temperature data.

Food plant: jacketed kettle and sterilizer RTDs for thermal process monitoring.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance Recommendations

Troubleshooting: If abnormal temperature fluctuations are detected, first check if the three terminals of the three-wire connection are secure. Inconsistent lead resistance is a major cause of error. If module communication is interrupted, check if the optocoupler isolation circuit has been damaged by an external high-voltage surge.

Maintenance Recommendations: It is recommended to perform annual zero-point and full-scale calibration of the module using a precision resistance calibrator. Due to the non-isolated design between channels, ensure good insulation between all sensor probes and the chassis ground during wiring.
