Description
The Bently Nevada 125736-01 Communication Gateway Modules provide extensive communication capabilities of all rack monitored values and statuses for integration with process control and other automation systems using both Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communications capabilities. It also permits Ethernet communications with 3500 Rack Configuration Software and Data Acquisition Software. The Ethernet connection to the 125736-01 is an RJ45 connection for 10BASE-T star configuration Ethernet networks. The 125736-01 supports the communication interfaces, communication protocols, and other features from the original 3500/90 with the exception of the primary value Modbus registers. The 125736-01 now has a Configurable Modbus Register Utility, which can provide the same functionality originally addressed by the primary value Modbus registers.
Applications
Transmit Turbine Vibration Data to DCS
125736-01 sends vibration measurements from up to 64 3500 rack channels via Ethernet or RS485, enabling real-time monitoring. Data such as shaft vibration amplitude (measured in mils) is transmitted directly to DCS for automated control and alarm actions.
Forward Pump Temperature Alarms to Control Room
125736-01 maps temperature sensor inputs to Modbus registers. Each channel handles 0–10 VDC or 4–20 mA signals, allowing plant operators to receive alarms when pump bearings exceed 75°C.
Integrate Compressor Monitoring with Data Acquisition Software
By connecting to Data Acquisition Software, 125736-01 transmits compressor vibration (0–10 VDC), position, and temperature data, supporting automated logging and predictive maintenance.
Link Multiple 3500 Racks to Central Automation Network
Multiple 125736-01 modules in a rack aggregate monitored values and relay statuses, sending them via TCP/IP or serial networks to centralized control systems, reducing wiring complexity.
