Q1: What are the advantages of the DLM02 as a Link Module compared to ordinary modules?
A: Extremely simplified cabling. Only one pair of optical fibers or one shielded twisted-pair cable is needed to control dozens of indicator lights on the control panel, replacing traditional bulky cable bundles.
Q2: If the link is broken, will the indicator lights retain their last state of DLM02?
A: For safety, NOV's design typically automatically shuts off all outputs of the DLM02 after a link interruption (Fail-safe), preventing the operator from seeing an incorrect "static" state.
Q3: Can DLM02 connect to indicator lights from other brands?
A: Yes, as long as they are standard 24V DC indicator lights (LEDs or incandescent bulbs are acceptable).
Q4: Why does the DLM02 have a DIP switch?
A: That's used to set the station address. When there are multiple display panels on the same link, the DIP switch must be used to distinguish their identities.
Q5: Can its fiber optic interface be repaired of DLM02 if it's damaged?
