Description
IS200ERGTH1AAA is an Exciter Regulator Third-party Ground Detector Terminal Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the EX2100 Series used in GE Excitation Turbine Control Systems. The IS200ERGTH_A Exciter Regulator Third-party Ground Detector Terminal Board (ERGT) is used in EX2100 regulator control systems (simplex or redundant applications) to support regulator third-party ground detector options. It is the interface between the IS200EROC Exciter Regulator Options Card (EROC) and the third-party ground detector. The ERGT converts the 9-pin connector signals from the EROC to terminal screw connections for the third-party ground detector. The EROC supports a single third-party ground detector (interfaced through the ERGT) with up to three outputs:
Ground alarm
Ground detector malfunction
Diode fault monitor
Applications
Power Industry: Gas turbine and steam turbine power plants (Mark VI/VIe system environment).
Petrochemical and Heavy Industry: Large oil refineries or chemical plants with their own power plants, used to ensure the safe operation of high-power motors or generators.
Application Scenarios: Primarily used for monitoring the grounding insulation of generator rotors or stators to prevent single-point grounding from escalating into serious short-circuit faults.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is an exciter regulator and its role in generator systems of IS200ERGTH1AAA?
A: An exciter regulator is a device that controls the voltage supplied to the rotor of a generator. Its role is to ensure stable voltage output, which is crucial for the proper functioning of the generator.
Q: How does an exciter regulator maintain voltage stability of IS200ERGTH1AAA?
A: The exciter regulator adjusts the current supplied to the generator's rotor windings based on feedback from sensors, maintaining the desired voltage level.
Q: What are the common symptoms of a faulty exciter regulator of IS200ERGTH1AAA?
A: Symptoms include voltage fluctuations, irregular generator output, or complete generator failure.
