Description
The GE Fanuc IC693CBL305 is a “WYE” cable. This component is an accessory to be used with the Series 90-30 PCM. It is compatible with the PCM301, PCM311, and CMM311 models. The purpose of this IC693CBL305 cable is to separate the two ports on the module from a single physical connector. By doing so, this separates the RS-232 from the RS-485 signals. Furthermore, using the IC693CBL305 wye cable has another great benefit for other cables in user applications. When the wye cable is implemented, Series 90-70 ADC and Series 90-30 ADC become fully compatible. The IC693CBL305 is one foot long and it has a right angle connector on one end. This connects to the ADC module. On the other end of the cable there is a dual connector with one connector for port 1 and the other for port 2. If operators choose not to use the Wye cable, they must then make a special cable in order to connect any RS-232 device to Port 2.
