1.Slide a flat-blade screwdriver between the module and the socket on either end of the module to remove it. To remove the module from the socket, gently rock the blade. Then repeat the process on the opposite end of the module. Place the module in a static-protective bag right away.

2.Static can readily corrupt the data on the module, and the bag prevents static from entering the module. On the replacement board, find the same socket and align it with the socket

3.Gently press it into the socket with your fingertips. If there is any gap between the socket and the module, inspect the connection. If necessary, press the socket to ensure a complete connection with the module

While installing the modules, place the replacement board on a flattened static-protective bag. You must also inspect the jumpers on the damaged board and take note of their positions.

4.Take note of whether the jumper covers pins 1 and 2 or 2 and 3. Find the same jumper on the replacement board and move it to the correct position.
