Description
The 991-06-XX-01-00 MOD: 169955-01 Thrust Transmitter is a precision 2-wire, loop-powered device designed for automated machinery control systems in centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans. It accepts input from a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe and its extension cable, converting axial shaft displacement into a 4 to 20 mA standard signal for real-time control, protection, and monitoring. With a linear range of 0.25 to 1.65 mm (10 to 65 mils) and full-scale option of ±0.6 mm, the transmitter provides accurate axial position measurements even in tight industrial environments. The unit features integrated Proximitor Sensor technology, non-isolated PROX OUT and COM terminals for diagnostic outputs, and loop adjustment via non-interacting zero and span potentiometers. Its potted construction ensures reliable operation in 100% condensing humidity environments, while DIN-rail or bulkhead mounting simplifies installation. The transmitter operates at 12–35 Vdc input, supports a maximum loop resistance of 1,000 Ω, and provides high immunity to power transients, making it ideal for automated monitoring of axial thrust in demanding industrial applications.
Applications
Centrifugal Air Compressor Axial Thrust Monitoring
Used in industrial compressors to provide continuous 4–20 mA feedback of axial displacement, enabling automated protection and control in high-speed compressors.
Pump Shaft Position Control
Monitors small to medium centrifugal pumps, allowing real-time adjustments in automated pump systems to prevent axial overload or misalignment.
Motor Thrust Protection
Integrates with industrial motor control systems, providing dynamic axial displacement data for automated shutdown or alarm in over-thrust conditions.
Fan and Turbine Axial Displacement Measurement
Applies in HVAC or small industrial turbines where precise axial position monitoring prevents mechanical failure and supports automated maintenance schedules.
Compact Automated System Integration
Supports installations in tight spaces with minimal clearance, using 3300 NSv probes and extension cables, ideal for automated OEM machinery requiring high-precision axial measurement.
