Description
The 991-06-70-01-00 Thrust Transmitter is a 2-wire, loop-powered device designed for OEMs of centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans. It accepts input from a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe and extension cable (5 m or 7 m) and converts axial shaft displacement into a 4–20 mA signal for automated machinery control. The 991-06-70-01-00 features a linear range of 0.25–1.65 mm (10–65 mils), full-scale option of 0.6–0–0.6 mm, and a maximum loop resistance of 1000 Ω at 35 Vdc. The transmitter operates in temperatures from -35°C to +85°C and supports DIN-rail mounting with 35 mm clips.
Applications
Measure Axial Shaft Position in Centrifugal Compressors
The 991-06-70-01-00 reads axial movement from a 3300 NSv Proximity Probe (0.25–1.65 mm range) and converts it into a 4–20 mA signal, providing real-time input for automated compressor control.
Monitor Thrust in Motors and Fans
The 991-06-70-01-00 Thrust Transmitter uses the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe with full-scale 0.6–0–0.6 mm range to provide continuous axial thrust readings for automated motor and fan protection.
Check Shaft Vibration and Gap Signals
The 991-06-70-01-00 outputs dynamic voltage through PROX OUT and COM terminals, allowing automated systems to detect abnormal shaft motion and verify probe alignment.

Competitive Advantage
Adjust Signal Output Quickly
Non-interacting zero and span potentiometers on the 991-06-70-01-00 allow technicians to calibrate the transmitter in the field with minimal effort.
Install in Confined Machine Spaces
The 991-06-70-01-00 mounts using DIN-rail clips or bulkhead screws, fitting the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe in tight areas without extra modifications.
Prevent False Alarms from Loose Probes
Power-up Inhibit and Not OK/Signal Defeat circuits in the 991-06-70-01-00 stop high outputs if the 3300 NSv Proximity Probe connection is loose, ensuring automated systems only receive valid readings.
Support Long Distance Wiring
The 991-06-70-01-00 handles loop resistances up to 1000 Ω and accepts extension cables up to 7 m, allowing flexible placement of probes and transmitters in automated plants.
