Description
The 81725-01 is a 14 mm diameter non-contact proximity transducer designed for automated machinery monitoring and vibration analysis. The 81725-01 measures the gap between the probe tip and metal surfaces, converting distances to a proportional negative DC voltage. Operating at -18 to -24 VDC and a wide temperature range of -34°C to +177°C, the 81725-01 monitors both static and dynamic shaft positions. Integrated into turbine supervisory and industrial automation systems, the 81725-01 provides real-time radial vibration and axial thrust data to control and safety systems.
Applications
Power Generation: Large Steam Turbines/Gas Turbines: Used to monitor the axial position of thrust bearings and the radial vibration of the rotor.
Hydropower Generator Sets: 14mm systems are commonly used to monitor the large-scale oscillation of turbine main shafts.
Oil & Gas: Large Centrifugal Compressors: Used in oil refineries and natural gas extraction to prevent downtime caused by bearing wear or severe vibration.
Heavy Industry: Large Grinding Mills, Crushers: Provide long-term monitoring in harsh environments with high mechanical vibration amplitudes on production lines.
Iron & Metallurgy: Monitor the asset health of large blowers, exhaust fans, and power-driven equipment.
