Description
The 330101-00-11-15-12-CN 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a precision-engineered eddy current transducer specifically designed for industrial automation, vibration monitoring, and position measurement applications. This 8 mm probe delivers an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the measured conductive surface, providing high-accuracy static displacement and dynamic vibration data for automated machinery and rotating equipment. Its compact 1.1-inch overall case length and 1.5-meter total cable with a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector allow seamless integration into fluid-film bearing systems, turbine monitoring, and predictive maintenance platforms.
Engineered to endure extreme conditions, the probe operates across -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F) while maintaining excellent signal stability with less than 2 mV/V supply sensitivity, 50 Ω output resistance, and 69.9 pF/m extension cable capacitance. The 3/8-24 UNF threaded mounting ensures secure installation, and patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs provide 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength for robust mechanical integrity. Optional FluidLoc cabling prevents oil or other fluids from leaking through the cable interior, ensuring reliable operation in lubrication-intensive environments. Fully CSA, ATEX, and IECEx certified and API 670 compliant, the probe is backward compatible with other 3300 series probes and Proximitor sensors, enabling interchangeable, standardized automated monitoring systems.
Applications
Application 1: Bearing Vibration Monitoring
The probe’s 2 mm linear range allows precise axial and radial vibration measurement, enabling early detection of bearing wear and minimizing unplanned downtime in automated systems.
Application 2: Rotor Position Measurement
High-resolution displacement data supports automatic rotor alignment and machine balancing, enhancing efficiency and extending machinery service life.
Application 3: Keyphasor Signal for Speed Monitoring
Provides phase-synchronized output signals to monitor rotational speed in turbines and compressors, enabling accurate predictive maintenance.
Application 4: Automated Condition Monitoring
Integration into industrial automation platforms allows real-time vibration and position tracking, triggering alerts and maintenance actions without manual intervention.
Application 5: Overspeed Protection
Delivers immediate shaft position feedback to automated control systems, preventing overspeed conditions and ensuring safety in high-speed machinery.
