Description
The 3500/60 Temperature Monitors provide six channels for automated temperature monitoring using RTD or Thermocouple inputs. The 3500/60 conditions signals from 1 to 6 transducers, with input impedance over 10 MΩ per lead, and compares them to user-programmed alarm setpoints. Each channel delivers 4–20 mA recorder output proportional to full-scale temperature, with 0.3662 µA per bit resolution and ±0.4% error over temperature range. Isolated TC modules offer 250 Vdc channel-to-channel isolation, protecting against external interference. The 3500/60 supports RTD current sources at 925 ±15 µA and can be configured via 3500 Rack Configuration Software for RTD, TC, or mixed inputs. Operating temperature ranges from -30°C to +65°C. When installed in Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) arrangements, multiple 3500/60 monitors can provide automated voting logic for precise temperature control and alarm activation in industrial systems.
Applications
Monitor Industrial Machinery Temperature
The 3500/60 accepts 1 to 6 RTD or Thermocouple signals, conditioning and comparing them to programmed alarm setpoints. With 4–20 mA outputs and 0.3662 µA per bit resolution, the 3500/60 allows automated detection of high-temperature conditions in turbines, pumps, or compressors.
Integrate with Automated Control Systems
The 3500/60 outputs proportional current signals for each channel, enabling integration into SCADA or DCS systems. Operators can use real-time temperature data to trigger automated cooling, shutdown, or alarm routines.
Configure Mixed RTD and TC Inputs
Using 3500 Rack Configuration Software, the 3500/60 can measure RTD, TC, or mixed input types. Isolated TC modules provide 250 Vdc channel-to-channel separation, ensuring accurate measurements in electrically noisy industrial environments.
Implement Triple Modular Redundant Voting
When three 3500/60 modules are installed adjacently, TMR voting logic can automatically determine temperature alarms, preventing single-point failures in high-risk automated processes.

Competitive Advantage
Fast Alarm Activation
With programmable alarm setpoints and ±0.4% measurement error, the 3500/60 enables immediate automated alerts when temperature thresholds are exceeded.
High-Resolution Data Output
Each channel provides 4–20 mA proportional output updated continuously, allowing precise automated monitoring and control actions.
Flexible Transducer Support
The 3500/60 accepts RTD, TC, or mixed inputs and supports isolated modules for noisy environments, simplifying automated system integration.
Easy Configuration via Software
Operators can program the 3500/60 channels through 3500 Rack Configuration Software to set measurement type, range, and alarm points without physical recalibration.
Supports Automated Redundant Systems
Multiple 3500/60 modules can be arranged in TMR configurations, providing automated voting logic for critical temperature monitoring and alarm functions in industrial automation.
