Description
The 330909-00-60-10-01-CN 3300 NSv Proximity Probe is an advanced eddy current transducer specifically engineered for applications requiring compact installation and small target measurement. With a 6.0-inch overall case length, 1.0-meter (39 in) cable, and 0.0-inch unthreaded length, the NSv probe provides precise radial and axial position or vibration monitoring even in constrained spaces. Featuring a 3/8-24 UNF thread with a maximum engagement length of 0.563 in, the probe ensures secure installation in compressors, turbines, and small rotating machinery. Constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel with a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) probe tip, it resists chemicals and high-temperature environments, operating reliably from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F). The probe outputs a linear 4–20 mA signal with 50 Ω output resistance and maintains less than 2 mV change per volt of supply variation. With a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils) and a recommended gap setting of 1.0 mm (40 mils), the system provides highly accurate measurements for fluid-film bearing machinery with small shafts or restricted side-view access. The miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector, including a connector protector, ensures reliable signal transmission and prevents loosening or liquid intrusion. Patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs enhance probe-tip bonding and cable retention with 220 N (50 lb) pull strength, supporting robust performance in automated industrial applications. The 3300 NSv probe is mechanically and electrically compatible with previous 3300 RAM and 3000/7000 series transducer systems, allowing for seamless upgrades while maintaining automation system continuity.
Applications
1. Radial Vibration Monitoring on Small Shafts
The 3300 NSv probe accurately measures radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in), using its 1.5 mm linear range and 4–20 mA output signal for real-time predictive maintenance in compressors and turbines.
2. Axial (Thrust) Position Measurement
With precise axial sensing capability for flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in), the probe ensures accurate thrust position control, supporting automated shaft alignment and operational stability.
3. Tachometer and Zero Speed Detection
The probe provides reliable tachometer signals and zero-speed detection for automation systems, enabling accurate rotational speed measurement in centrifugal compressors and refrigeration units.
4. Phase Reference (Keyphasor) Generation
The NSv system outputs stable Keyphasor signals for phase synchronization and rotational analysis, facilitating automated process monitoring in constrained installation spaces.
5. Compact Compressor Monitoring
Its small form factor and side-view design allow installation in counter bore or rearview restricted areas, ensuring continuous monitoring of centrifugal air compressors, process gas compressors, and refrigeration compressors.

Competitive Advantage
1. Compact and Side-View Compatible Design
The 0.0-inch unthreaded length and 6.0-inch case enable installation in tight, restricted spaces where standard 3300 probes cannot fit, supporting versatile automation system deployment.
2. High Chemical and Temperature Resistance
With PPS probe tip and AISI 304 stainless steel case, the NSv probe withstands harsh chemical environments and operates reliably from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F).
3. Seamless System Upgrade
Compatible with 3300 RAM and 3000/7000 series systems, the NSv probe allows direct upgrades with minimal changes to existing automation monitoring infrastructure, preserving system continuity.
4. Enhanced Mechanical Reliability
Patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs provide 220 N (50 lb) pull strength, ensuring secure probe-tip attachment and cable retention under operational stress.
5. Connector and Signal Integrity
Gold-plated ClickLoc connectors with optional connector protectors prevent loosening and liquid ingress, maintaining consistent 50 Ω signal transmission for accurate automation data acquisition.
