Description
The 3300 NSv Proximity Probe is a high-precision eddy current displacement transducer engineered for advanced industrial automation and machinery monitoring. Designed for use in centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other machines with tight installation spaces, the 3300 NSv probe delivers reliable radial vibration, axial position, and speed measurements. Its compact M8x1 threaded case and small probe tip made of chemically resistant Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) allow accurate measurements in restricted counter bore, sideview, or rearview environments. With a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils), recommended gap of 1.0 mm (40 mils), and an average scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), the 3300 NSv provides precise eddy current signals compatible with Bently Nevada 3300 XL and legacy 3300 RAM systems. The probe operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F) and features AISI 304 stainless steel housing for robust industrial performance. Gold-plated ClickLoc connectors and TipLoc molded probe tips ensure secure electrical connections, while the patented CableLoc design provides 220 N (50 lb) of cable pull strength. The probe supports field wiring from 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG) and offers less than 2 mV output change per volt input variation, ensuring stable and consistent signal output in critical automation systems.
Applications
Radial Vibration Monitoring
The 3300 NSv probe enables precise radial vibration measurements on small shafts under 51 mm (2 in), allowing early detection of imbalance or misalignment in centrifugal compressors. Its 1.5 mm linear range ensures accurate tracking of high-frequency vibration up to 1 kHz.
Axial (Thrust) Position Measurement
