Description
The 3300 NSv Proximity Probe (330901-14-43-10-02-05) is a high-precision eddy current transducer designed for use in automated machinery monitoring, including centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and other process equipment requiring tight installation clearances. This advanced probe system supports radial and axial vibration measurements, shaft position monitoring, tachometer functionality, and phase reference (Keyphasor) signals, ensuring reliable feedback in critical industrial automation systems.
Featuring a 1/4-28 UNF threaded stainless steel case (AISI 304 SST) and a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) probe tip, the 3300 NSv probe operates reliably across extreme temperature ranges from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F). Its linear measurement range of 1.5 mm (60 mils) with a recommended gap of 1.0 mm (40 mils) ensures precise vibration and position readings even in small target applications, such as shafts below 51 mm (2 in) diameter or flat targets under 15 mm (0.6 in). The probe connects via a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and comes with a 1.0-meter (3.3 ft) standard cable, fully compatible with existing 3300 RAM transducer systems.
With an output resistance of 50 Ω and supply sensitivity of less than 2 mV change per volt input, this probe provides high-fidelity signal integrity for automated monitoring systems. Its compact 4.3 in overall case length and 1.4 in unthreaded length allow installation in side-view or rear-view restricted areas, making it ideal for retrofits and upgrades in automated industrial setups. The system also supports multiple agency approvals for global deployment.
Applications
Radial Vibration Monitoring on Small Shafts
The 3300 NSv probe excels in detecting radial vibrations on shafts smaller than 51 mm, providing precise vibration amplitude data critical for predictive maintenance in compressors and turbines.
Axial (Thrust) Position Sensing
Accurate axial position measurements on flat targets smaller than 15 mm enable precise monitoring of fluid-film bearings in automated machinery.
Tachometer and Zero-Speed Detection
By providing high-resolution shaft speed and zero-speed signals, this probe supports automated safety interlocks and rotational speed control in compressors and motors.
Phase Reference Signal Generation (Keyphasor)
The probe delivers consistent Keyphasor output for phase analysis and synchronization in automated condition monitoring systems.
Retrofit and Upgrade for Legacy Systems
The probe is fully compatible with existing 3300 RAM systems and can replace 3000-series or 7000-series transducers, enabling automated system upgrades without extensive rewiring or system downtime.

Competitive Advantage
Compact Design for Restricted Installations
With a 1.4 in unthreaded length and 4.3 in overall case length, the probe fits in tight spaces where conventional Bently Nevada probes cannot be used.
Enhanced Chemical and Thermal Resistance
PPS tip and stainless steel case provide resistance to harsh chemicals and extreme temperatures (-52°C to +177°C), extending service life in automated compressor environments.
High Signal Fidelity
Output resistance of 50 Ω and low supply sensitivity (<2 mV/V) ensure minimal signal distortion, supporting accurate automated monitoring.
Robust Mechanical Reliability
ClickLoc connectors, TipLoc molding, and CableLoc designs provide secure electrical connections with 50 lb (220 N) pull strength, reducing maintenance needs in industrial automation systems.
Flexible Probe Configuration
Available in multiple thread options (1/4-28, 3/8-24, M8X1, M10X1) and armored or unarmored cases, the probe can adapt to diverse automated machinery setups and upgrade scenarios.
