Description

The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-BR-04-70-03-02) is a self-contained, high-precision proximity measurement device engineered for industrial automation and critical machinery monitoring. Featuring a 70 mm probe penetration and a 40 mm standoff adapter, this transducer is designed to deliver accurate shaft vibration and position measurements in compact or recessed installations. The device integrates a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor without approvals, allowing direct connection to monitoring systems while eliminating the need for extension cables or separate Proximitor housings.

The housing is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, providing high mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and electrostatic dissipation. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, the PROXPAC XL transducer operates reliably in dusty, wet, and harsh industrial environments.

Electrical parameters include supply sensitivity < 2 mV per volt, output resistance of 50 Ω, and compatibility with 16–24 AWG (0.2–1.5 mm²) field wiring, ensuring stable and precise measurement. It supports a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended gap setting of 1.27 mm (50 mils), suitable for shafts with diameters from 50.8 mm (2.0 in) minimum to 76.2 mm (3.0 in) recommended. Operating temperatures range from -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F), and storage temperatures extend up to +105°C (+221°F), making it ideal for turbines, pumps, compressors, and motors in automated monitoring systems.
