Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-BR-04-110-06-02) is a self-contained proximity sensing assembly designed for precise shaft vibration and position monitoring in industrial automation and rotating machinery applications. Featuring a 110 mm probe penetration and a 40 mm standoff adapter, it allows reliable installation in compact or recessed machinery housings. The assembly integrates a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor directly within the housing, eliminating the need for separate Proximitor housings or extension cables, which simplifies installation and reduces potential points of failure.
Constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, the housing delivers superior mechanical strength, electrostatic dissipation, and resistance to chemicals and high temperatures. It is IP66 and Type 4X rated, ensuring reliable performance in wet, dusty, and corrosive industrial environments. The transducer supports a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended gap of 1.27 mm (50 mils), and accommodates shafts from 50.8 mm (2.0 in) minimum to 76.2 mm (3.0 in) recommended.
Electrical characteristics include supply sensitivity < 2 mV per volt, output resistance of 50 Ω, and field wiring compatibility with 16–24 AWG cables (0.2–1.5 mm²). Operating across a temperature range of -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F), the PROXPAC XL transducer provides reliable long-term monitoring for turbines, motors, compressors, and other critical rotating machinery, making it ideal for automated condition monitoring programs.
