Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-28-04-70-03-02) is a high-precision automation sensor engineered for industrial machinery monitoring and rotating shaft diagnostics. Featuring a 70 mm probe penetration with a 40 mm standoff adapter and a 3300 XL 8 mm probe with multiple approvals, it delivers accurate shaft displacement and vibration measurement critical for predictive maintenance, process optimization, and operational reliability. The self-contained PROXPAC XL design integrates a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor directly in the housing, eliminating the need for extension cables or separate Proximitor housings, and allows direct connection to monitoring systems through 16–24 AWG field wiring.
Constructed from reinforced Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic with glass and conductive fibers, the housing provides enhanced mechanical strength, electrostatic discharge dissipation, and corrosion resistance. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, it withstands harsh industrial environments, including dust, moisture, and chemical exposure. Electrical specifications include <2 mV change in output per volt of input variation, 50 Ω output resistance, and a 2 mm linear range with a recommended 1.27 mm gap. Compatible with shaft diameters from 50.8 mm to 76.2 mm, the transducer operates reliably in temperatures from -52°C to +100°C, with storage up to +105°C, making it ideal for turbines, compressors, pumps, and motor-driven equipment.
