Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-28-04-145-06-02) is a high-precision industrial automation sensor designed for monitoring rotating machinery shafts in harsh environments. Featuring a 145 mm probe penetration and a 40 mm standoff adapter, it uses an 8 mm 3300 XL probe with multiple approvals to provide accurate displacement measurements for shafts with diameters from 50.8 mm to 76.2 mm. The integrated 3300 XL Proximitor sensor makes this a self-contained proximity measurement system, eliminating the need for extension cables or separate Proximitor housings, while enabling direct connection to monitoring and control systems via 16–24 AWG field wiring.
The transducer housing is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic, reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, which provides mechanical durability, electrostatic dissipation, and chemical resistance. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, it can operate in extreme industrial environments with temperatures from -52°C to +100°C and storage temperatures up to +105°C. Electrical specifications include <2 mV supply sensitivity, 50 Ω output resistance, a 2 mm linear range, and a 1.27 mm recommended gap, ensuring highly reliable and stable measurements for automation and condition monitoring applications.
