Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-28-04-145-03-02) is a self-contained 8 mm proximity probe assembly designed for precise vibration and shaft position monitoring in industrial automation and rotating machinery. Featuring a 145 mm probe penetration and a 40 mm standoff adapter, this assembly ensures accurate measurement in constrained machinery environments while simplifying installation. By integrating the 3300 XL Proximitor sensor directly into the housing, the PROXPAC XL eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing or extension cables, reducing wiring complexity and potential failure points.
The housing is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) reinforced with glass and conductive fibers, providing exceptional mechanical strength, electrostatic dissipation, and resistance to chemicals. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, it delivers reliable operation in wet, dusty, or corrosive industrial conditions. The transducer supports a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended gap of 1.27 mm (50 mils) and accommodates shafts from 50.8 mm (2.0 in) minimum to 76.2 mm (3.0 in) recommended.
Electrical performance is highly stable with supply sensitivity < 2 mV per volt, output resistance of 50 Ω, and field wiring compatibility for 16–24 AWG cables (0.2–1.5 mm²). Operating across a temperature range of -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F), this PROXPAC XL transducer provides reliable, long-term monitoring for turbines, compressors, motors, and other critical rotating equipment in automated industrial processes.
