Description
The PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer (330881-28-04-110-06-02) is a high-precision, self-contained proximity sensing assembly designed for industrial automation and rotating machinery applications requiring accurate shaft vibration and position monitoring. Featuring a 110 mm probe penetration with a 40 mm standoff adapter, this transducer integrates a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximitor sensor with multiple approvals, allowing it to operate in demanding environments while maintaining reliable and repeatable measurements.
Its Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) housing reinforced with glass and conductive fibers provides exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and electrostatic dissipation, replacing traditional steel or aluminum housings. Rated IP66 and Type 4X, the assembly is fully protected against dust, water, and corrosive industrial conditions. It supports a linear range of 2 mm (80 mils) with a recommended gap setting of 1.27 mm (50 mils), and is compatible with shafts from 50.8 mm (2.0 in) minimum to 76.2 mm (3.0 in) recommended.
Electrical characteristics include supply sensitivity < 2 mV per volt, output resistance of 50 Ω, and support for 16–24 AWG field wiring (0.2–1.5 mm²). Operating across -52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F), the transducer provides reliable long-term monitoring for turbines, motors, compressors, and other critical rotating machinery, ensuring simplified installation, reduced maintenance requirements, and accurate automated condition monitoring.
